Mr. Jared Meyers, Assistant Principal

Jared Meyers is serving in his first year as the Assistant Principal at Kimmons Junior High School in Fort Smith.  Before this appointment, he served as the Director of Bands at Kimmons for four years.  In this capacity, he oversaw all aspects of the band program at Kimmons, including the 170 member beginning band program and the 180 member advanced band program.  Under his direction, the Kimmons Advanced Band received superior ratings in marching and concert bands.

He previously served as the Director of Bands at Booneville High School in Booneville, Arkansas, where his bands received superior ratings in both marching and concert bands.

Mr. Meyers holds a Bachelor degree in Music Education from the University of Central Arkansas and his Masters in School Leadership, Management, and Administration from the University of Central Arkansas.  Mr. Meyers' professional affiliations include the Arkansas Bandmaster's Association, Arkansas School Band and Orchestra Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia National Music Fraternity, and Arkansas Association of Education Administrators.

Mr. Meyers lives in Fort Smith with his wife Lexie and their daughter and son, Sophie and Carson.

Mrs. Joni Wilbanks, Assistant Principal

Joni Wilbanks is the Assistant Principal at Kimmons Junior HIgh.  Prior to this position she served as a Career and Technical Information teacher at Kimmons. Before serving at Kimmons she worked as a CTE coordinator for the Western Arkansas Education Cooperative.

Mrs. Wilbanks holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting and her Masters in School Leadership both from Arkansas State University.  She became a National Board Certified teacher in  2015.  Mrs. Wilbanks is also a certified Career Development Facilitator.

Outside of education Mrs. Wilbanks is a business owner.  Her and her husband own Geno’s Pizza of Alma and Geno’s Pizza at Central Mall.  She lives in Mulberry with her husband Justin and daughter and son, Emma and Adam.
